On behalf of one of our clients, an IT company, we are seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Data Architect. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Create detailed architectural designs from high level business requirements 

• Design and lead development of the data integration platform: data integration and modeling approach of all layers, high-level ETL architecture, data analytics, and reporting solutions 

• Delivery of solutions that are scalable, resilient, extensible, efficient, secure, and cost-effective 

• Ensure that the data integration developments conform to consistent architecture, methodologies, the client’s standards and industry best practices 

• Define the way new data gets integrated in the Enterprise 

• Data Integration Platform: key mapping and source classification 

• Verify the extensions on the logical and physical data model 

• Design, develop and maintain a metadata repository 

• Define and establish data quality and data flow rules for required data transactions 

• Review, analyze and evaluate business requirements and validation analysis with the Business Analyst on best practices on data integration 

• Work with Business Analysts on proposals for new Enterprise Data Model and Business Glossary content 

• Stays up to date on technological changes and innovations in the data integration and BI fields 

• Ensure consistency of usage conventions, compliance with best practices, data quality and integration of source data from various source systems 

• Develop standards, guidelines, and quality assurance processes 

• Act as an interface between the different teams and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle with respect to architectural issues 

• Assist in analysis of IT systems portfolio, cost-benefit analysis/Analysis of business processes. 

Required Qualifications:  

• Successful training/education by a competent institute, in informatics 

• Certification in the area of data management is considered an asset (e.g. CBIP, CDMP) 

• English: C1 

• Strong analytical skills and an accurate and highly structured working mind set 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a clear communication style 

• Working in an international/multicultural environment 

• Leadership experience 

• Minimum 2 years in architecture models and tools, design, overseeing implementation of architecture 

• Data Integration, ETL 

• Big Data 

• Master Data Management 

• Data Visualisation 

• Data Analytics / Mining / Machine Learning 

• Leading complex, cross functional initiatives 

• Technologies falling within the scope of the Framework Contract 

• Standard technical practices including unit testing, continuous integration, and coding standards 

• Enterprise Architecture studies, reporting, and implementation 

• Semantic web (RDF, RDFS) and Ontology (OWL) experience desirable.
